Prints and Binding
relief prints.
Traditional relief printing was explored through three Frida Kahlo inspired designs, hand carved into linoleum and wood and printed on paper. I used U gouges, V gouges, chisels, and flat knives to develop the illustrations, experimenting with different carving techniques and layered colors to achieve precise and consistent prints.

screen printing.
A three layer screen print was created from an original Totoro anime inspired design. I created separate screens for the main Totoro, two smaller Totoros, and a large leaf, carefully layering each color to build the final composition and maintain clarity across the print.

handmade bookbinding.
Using traditional bookbinding techniques, I was able to create a handmade notebook from individually prepared and hand stitched pages. The structure features a shaped spine, textured recycled paper, and a soft pink fabric cover. A small glass bottle filled with pink beads was incorporated into the design as a playful character, adding a distinctive personal detail to the finished piece.
